Words & Phrases

It's the third week of observations and  Jayden is saying more and more words as days go by. He just started saying I love you to everyone in the family and starting to say names. Just a couple days ago he turned 2 years old and it really shocks me on the abilities he has and what can do at this age. He's learning how to throw a football and catch a football. He knows the concept of the soccer ball and kicks the ball around and yells "Goal". Goes outside and tosses the basketball around in his mini basketball court. He is still at that stage where he is attached to my mother and will want to be with her at all times. He recognize our voices and can call us by our names. Jayden enjoys car rides and understands that "bye bye" means going out for a car ride and most likely falls asleep within a few minutes of being there. My little brother loves to talk and is saying more and more, looking forward to see what next week brings.

  1. Have you ever counted the words he knows? It might be fun to count and keep track.

  3. I love it when they first start talking. Watching someone grow up in my opinion is the most beautiful thing this world can offer.

    1. I got super excited when he said my name for the first time and now he can say everyone in my family's name and can recognize us by our faces.

  4. It's so fun and sometimes funny to hear when a child is learning how to talk. The way their brain works is amazing because they are just little sponges that are absorbing everything they hear.

  5. From my personal experience of watching my little niece grow up, one of the best feelings in the world was when she was able to pronounce my name. Have you ever wondered why your little brother is so attached to your mom? (Besides the fact that she gave birth to him and has nurtured him all this time.) The reason I ask is because from what I've been told and from what I notice about myself today is that I've always been a bit more attached to my dad than to my mom. I hope you're enjoying the project so far and I'm excited to see what other adventures your brother will bring to you.
