Halloween Party

This weekend of observation we attended a child's Halloween birthday party. Jayden was dressed up as a monkey. Another child was dressed as a scary looking clown approached my brother and Jayden right away could not stop crying and screaming. Jayden then ran quickly to me asking me to carry him because he didn't want to be near him anymore and was holding me tight. I've never seen him so frightened before. My brother is terrified of clowns it seemed like any other costume was not that scary to him, but the clown.

Words & Phrases

It's the third week of observations and  Jayden is saying more and more words as days go by. He just started saying I love you to everyone in the family and starting to say names. Just a couple days ago he turned 2 years old and it really shocks me on the abilities he has and what can do at this age. He's learning how to throw a football and catch a football. He knows the concept of the soccer ball and kicks the ball around and yells "Goal". Goes outside and tosses the basketball around in his mini basketball court. He is still at that stage where he is attached to my mother and will want to be with her at all times. He recognize our voices and can call us by our names. Jayden enjoys car rides and understands that "bye bye" means going out for a car ride and most likely falls asleep within a few minutes of being there. My little brother loves to talk and is saying more and more, looking forward to see what next week brings.

Birthday boy

Progression

My little brother, Jayden Huizar was a premature baby. He was born on October 2, 2012 but his original due date was November 14, 2012 which happened to be on my mother's birthday. Jayden turned 2 years old and I am amazed on how smart and talented he is and how much he has grown. His favorite toys are football, soccer ball and a basketball. We all love sports in our family and love to play with Jayden. My little brother and I are 15 years apart, but he completes the family. We have enjoyed ever moment and can not wait to see what life has in store for us as a family of seven...
